Bakassi and raw justice

VERY SAD! America or any worthwhile government will definitely not allow her people to be parceled off under a new sovereign arrangement because some judges in the Hague decree it. When United States's interest was threatened during the time of Reagan, Reagan took a temporary exit from the body to protect the interest of America.

Sad Indeed that our helpless government in Abuja can allow her people to be this abused! We hope the National Assembly will resist this deal where commerce is more important than people!!

Bakassi is a legal entity according to our constitution with its local government specifically mentioned in the constitution. It will be wrong for it to be removed without any recourse to the same constitution through amendment or plebiscite. This is a situation where the National Assembly should flex muscle if indeed as they claim, are working on behalf of the people. We cannot claim we are not there in the 21st century though we will be excused for an evil act of the 19th century for which we were powerless to prevent.

Africa was partitioned without representation or regards for ancestral homes, now we have a government that is definitely a toothless bulldog holding brief for those who inhumanly partitioned our lands and people in the first place!!! We hope the National Assembly will at least ask for the amendment of the constitution before this unilateral deal is allowed to succeed. At least, the people of Bakassi deserve this final favor.
