[The Jonathan Project] Press Release: Bombing
of the UN Building in Abuja by
George Kerley
Our security agencies cannot apprehend these monster
elements if their families and communities continue to hide
them. We must support the security agencies to enable them
do their work effectively.
We must work with security agencies and bring the culprits
to book immediately.
Friday, 26th of August 2011, satanist elements of a hugely
misguided Islamic sect in Northern Nigeria attacked and bombed
the local offices of the United Nations in the Federal
Capital Territory, Abuja.
We hereby call on all Nigerians to rise up, resist and reject
these bandits. They will no longer be allowed to hold Nigerians
hostage. Nigeria belongs to all of us.
They must be found out and expressly punished.
We call on our dear President, Dr Goodluck Ebele Jonathan GCFR who
has showed great leadership at this time, and his National
Security Adviser General Andrew Owoye Azazi to immediately
activate the relevant security agencies to bring to book all those
who perpetrated this dastard acts.
Security agencies who have refused to live up to the calling of
the new order should be re-organized and re-structured.
Corrupt members of such agencies should be brought to book
immediately.
Not too long ago, two members of the misguided Islamic sect were
allowed to escape from a military facility. All those responsible
for this grave breach of security in such a top level military
facility should not be treated with kid gloves.
These bombers have families, friends and wards. They live amongst
neighborhoods accross Northern Nigeria. They must be tracked,
picked up and punished.
They cannot be allowed to continue to maim and kill members of
other families and then return to the comfort of their own
families.
The sponsors of these band of misguided elements should also be
rounded up.
The spate of bombings like we have seen in the passing year can
only be done through a well funded structure provide by these
crumbling oligarchies.
Not too long ago, these people threatened the very existence of
Nigeria. It is therefore not surprising that most of them have
chosen to keep quiet today.
We commend the resilience and good faith of all progressive
citizens of the Nigerian state even as we continue to remind
ourselves that Nigeria belongs to all of us.
The time has come for all of us to join hands with the security
agencies accross the length and breadth of this great country to
bring to book all those responsible for this show of evil and
wickedness.
Our security agencies cannot apprehend these monster elements if
their families and communities continue to hide them. We must
support the security agencies to enable them do their work
effectively.
We must work with security agencies and bring the culprits to book
immediately.
